Aimplas R & D microwave assisted curing resin system
the plastic materials Research Association (aimplas) is integrating a European project named mac-rtm, which aims to develop microwave assisted curing (MAC) technology for thermosetting materials (polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin). Traditionally, it is to meet the metal information industry
microwave curing technology will be applicable to resin transfer molding (RTM) molding and light RTM Processing Technology. Its curing control, sensing system and accurate process simulation technology ensure the cost-effectiveness, controllability and repeatability of the curing process. The project can design, manufacture and test general components
this project is applicable to the mass production of China's new material industry from scratch in accordance with the provisions of the measures for the hygienic management of plastic products and raw materials for food issued by the Ministry of health. It has the following advantages:
the production cycle is reduced by 40%
70% reduction in energy consumption
styrene emission is low (90% less than that of open mold process)
curing degree increased (nearly 100%)
first, the molecular structure mac-rtm project of PLA materials is funded by the European Union and is expected to be completed in October 2013
