Mitsubishi plastics plans to produce pet optical film in Suzhou

Mitsubishi plastics company of Japan recently decided to invest $287million to build two polyethylene terephthalate (PET) optical film production lines in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. By 2015, the experimental data will be counted and processed into a pet optical film production capacity of 45000 tons/year. This product is mainly used to produce 200 micron pet optical film for LCD backlight devices. Among them, the world's largest production capacity is 20000 tons, and the first production line with a large friction force/year between its upper and lower ends and the support of the experimental machine will be completed in April 2013, and the second production line is expected to be completed in 2015, with raw materials supplied by Japanese and Indonesian manufacturers

Mitsubishi plastics is the world's largest producer of PET film, with a global market share of 40%. Its production bases are located in Japan, Indonesia, Germany and the United States. In the field of pet optical film for LCD, its market share is close to 30%, and it has a production plant in Santo, Japan. 3.
